Happy New Year once again!
It’s freezing cold outside!!! I, for one cannot stand this weather.
After leaving work yesterday, I went to the mall shopping for gloves and hat for the boys. I should have bought them a long time ago but I had not been able to find cute, good quality ones. Moreover, I am a big procrastinator too.
Boy, was it cold last night! As soon as I got home, I dropped my bags and headed for the couch. The only clothing I removed was my jacket. Alex came and laid on my chest. I needed the body warmth. LMBO! Though it came from a two years old, it was greatly appreciated. Minutes later, I requested for a blanket because my feet and ears felt frozen. I kept asking if the heat was on because it sure felt like it wasn’t. With my scarf and shoes still on, I took the blanket from Crystal (my daughter) and covered myself immediately. I sent the girl on so many errands last night. LMBO! I’m surprised she did not complain.
To cut a long story short, I eventually took my shoes off but remained on that couch till 5:00 am this morning. I had nothing in my tummy other than the salad I ate. It’s 5:24 pm and all I’ve had today is coffee. Oh! Did I mention I also went to Target last night in that cold to get my Caramel Macchiato Coffee? See previous post on coffee here. It’s still freezing outside but I plan on devouring some iyan and efo riro (dooney’s kitchen efo-riro is life) when I get home. For my non-Nigerian readers, these are traditional Nigerian food. Very Yummy!
The color palette for today’s OOTD is Marsala and Coral. I love the richness of Marsala, the color of the year. Few posts ago (here), I paired the Marsala turtle neck with a Fuchsia dress. In this look, you can see the color pairs well with coral. Other fall colors to consider are Oak Buff (golden-yellow) and Story Weather (dark blue). Well, I like using all those Pantone color names.
