Designers showed up with their A game for the Spring Summer 2016 collections.  The shoes are purely aesthetically pleasing.  They are fun, sexy, colorful, artful, you name it.

My first Spring shoe crush is the Gianvito Rossi Feather Suede Sandal.  Just the other day, I stared at a feathered skirt in my closet that is yet to be worn.  I found myself wondering who made the decision to only wear feathers in Winter anyway.  Birds wear theirs every year so I should be able to wear mine which has fewer feathers without drawing negative attentions.  LMBO! Birds, right! I just had to go there. I have not had time to look up the Spring collection until know.  If you had been following my blog since its inception you will know I have always been behind. It has been like that for a little over two years now.  When I got pregnant with my son Alex, the thing I love to do the most became the thing I never wanted to engage in.  I was too tired and sick to pick up a magazine or Google anything fashion related.  I could not believe it.  Hated every moment of it because my subscribed magazines kept coming in the mail but I could not control my hormones.  I spent majority of my time watching ‘Suits’ and ‘Jacob’s Cross’.  Though other bloggers report on season collections months before the season comes but I blog about the collections weeks or days before we step into the season. Just think of So Modishly Chic (SMC) as a blog that offers a refresher course.

By the way, who is the costume designer for the show ‘Suits’? Dang! That is all I can say for now.

I’m not sure what is going on at Dolce and Gabbana. For winter it was the velvet with floral or gem embellishment.  For spring, colorful print with colorful pom poms or colorful beads. You cannot do anything but appreciate the creativity at the D&G House.  You either love the shoes or you hate them. At SMC, the shoes are loved. They are divine!

Please call me if you find these Christian Dior ankle wrap shoes which featured in its Spring 2016 Couture collection.  I had a shoegasim when I saw it.  My sister even agreed the shoe is so me.  But of course I couldn’t find it so I was unable to include it in The Ballet Ankle set below.

Look at that Salvatore Ferragamo polka dot rainbow heels. It’s so alluring and girly.  I have a perfect date outfit set I have created in Polyvore around the shoe which I will post soon. A shoe like that needs nothing to distract attention from it.  I will dress it completely down while strutting in it.   The gold tone detail in the back is such a beautiful accent.

Here are six styles I’ve been busy pinning to My Want Pinterest board.
