To tickle my sense of smell, the smell of the nano-meter sized particles sprayed from a perfume bottle does not necessarily have to be distinct but MUST be full of floral freshness and feline sensuality. It MUST be capable of gentle sweetness. Unlike perfume addicts, I have always been a one perfume at a time person. I did not believe in conflicting my daily smell so I stick to a bottle until it finishes. This way I get to keep my sweet smell constant for a long period of time. An habit that can be likened to how I listen to music – the whole album without skipping a song. The not- so-interesting song(s) eventually grows on me.
Last year September, I defaulted on my one bottle at a time habit and bought the limited edition Bottega Venetta Eau de Velours and the Valentino Donna Fragrance. They both smell so good and met my specs to the point that I could not resist the urge to have them both. I visited Nordstrom for the Valentino but when the sales rep mentioned Bottega Veneta, I was sold on the spot because Bottega Veneta is my favorite designer and the swift floral scent coming from the bottle did not disappoint either.
Today, I have three perfume bottles sitting on my dresser. All thanks to the new “Daisy Love” fragrance by Marc Jacobs. I bumped into ‘Daisy Love’ while smell testing fragrances for this blog post last week. It is so soft, sweet and youthful. If you love a not-so-overwhelming floral-fruity scent, this is perfect for you too.
The only fragrance I did not get a chance to try is Arizona by Proenza Schouler. I first learnt of its existence from @rantiinriview, the Creative Director of Rantiinriview .com. She has a perfect sense of style and I would consider her recommendation any time any day. Moreover, I love Proenza Schouler!

I love Daisy.
I can’t stop using it. I have kind of abandoned the rest of my perfume for this one. It smells so good and lasts a very long time. Stays on clothes for days.
