“Wearing color gives you confidence. You have no choice but to own your own space.”
– Yara Shahidi, InSytle Magazine

Four weeks ago, I made a decision to take a break from work in order to recharge from some stressful work related experiences that started since the beginning of the year due to a change in management. A temporary inevitable change almost everyone escaped from except me. The stress was so unbearable to the extent that it was affecting my health and my quality of work. Just the thought of going to work every morning when I wake up launches an automatic headache that lasts for hours. These experiences that had been physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually draining had taken me to my lowest moments that I felt it was necessary to extract myself from that environment, at least for a short while for my sanity.

My decision to take the break unexpectedly resulted in my inability to stay consistent with blogging. Getting out of bed was a struggle. I just did not feel like doing anything, not even to read a magazine or take pictures for the blog.

Now that I feel recharged, tomorrow is going to be my first day back to work with today being my first day back to blogging. Feeling more excited about the blogging part! I have decided to go back to work in a colorful outfit that would keep me feeling colorful. With my outfit out-of-the-way, taking charge of my environment with prayers will be my major focus tomorrow to ward away negativity.

For a weather friendly footwear, I will be swapping these gorgeous Sophia Webster candy crush sandal for a bootie. Hopefully there will be no need for the coat. The weather seems to be behaving itself lately and staying a bit closer to the warmer side despite the rain.
