Eva Mendes Lemon Print Dress

Few weeks ago, I went shopping for a client who needed a dress for a wedding. She was out of the country and could not return on time to go shopping.  The goal was to go to the mall and pick a few solid color fitted dresses and if I needed to step outside the box, she made sure to let me know floral was a no no.  While shopping, I found this beautiful Eva Mendes Lemon Print Dress at New York and Company store.  I was a little hesitant about buying the dress because it was a print and full skirt dress but the price was just too right and the quality too good to pass up.  My thought was…I guess someone need to consider stepping out of her comfort zone…so I went ahead and bought the dress with the hopes that she will love it as much as I do.

Buying the dress was a good decision. My client fell in love with it once it hung on her body and chose to wear it to the wedding. The only problem was I could not convince her to not pair the dress with a yellow shoe. I suggested a nude shoe and tan belt as worn in the pictures below. She wanted to know why and I explained to her that it is an unexpected choice and tan or nude can be paired with any color featured on the dress. She could not envision the pairing so we had to settle for the yellow shoe. Baby steps! I should at least give myself a pat on the back for convincing her to wear the lemon print dress.

I wore this outfit to church on Sunday and got so many compliments when I visited my local Target store.
