The Art of Layering – Look #2: Blazer, Cardigan, Slip Dress & Skinny Pants

Today’s temperature is below 30 degrees. Therefore, it is a perfect day to feature another post on layering.

Layering Tip: You don’t have to store away that cute midi slip dress just because summer is over. Make use of it in the Fall by wearing the slip dress over a skinny pant. To keep warm, add a cardigan. If your slip dress and pant are of a neutral palette, inject some color into your look with a colorful cardigan. A blazer creates another layer. It’s fitted silhouette gives the ensemble a polished look.

In my layered look, I added a purple cardigan to break the mostly black color palette of my outfit and the blazer buttoned to have purple peek out. The belt was a last minute thought. I really like the equestrian polish over the blazer.
