When a friend informed me that I would need a white pair of jeans for one of the events she planned last year to celebrate her birthday, I was not sure what to think of the idea because I had never owned a white denim before. A white jeans was a clothing item I never cared for to add to my wardrobe. Honestly, I used to find them weird looking and unsophisticated and never really admired them on anyone. Not even Olivia of OliviaPalermo.com, Anh of 9to5chic.com or Folake of Stylepantry.com. Or maybe it’s just that I have seen them worn and styled sloppily over the years especially to an All-White casual events that even when I see them on those three super stylish women, owning a pair of white jeans never interested me. Despite the fact that Folake looks the most amazing in them…thinking back now.
Anyway, I needed the white jeans for the party so I had to find one within a short notice. It was by luck that the only three brands: J.Crew, Guess and AG Adriano Goldschmied (AG jeans) I sourced for a pair worked out perfectly.
My first option was the AG Farrah skinny jeans. This is my go to brand for distressed boyfriend jeans and love it. The Farrah jeans is flattering. It clung nicely to the body. If you are looking for a lightweight fabric with a legging feel, then this is the one for you. For me, the fabric was just too thin for my liking so I had to continue with my search for a version that would possess the thickness that I needed at a more affordable price tag. My second option was the J.Crew 9″ high rise toothpick jeans which I have always had my eyes on but took to long to own it because of the color. I got sold on the great reviews it had on J.Crew’s website so I added it to my wish list with the hopes to find the courage to buy it one day. Currently, it has 109 reviews with a 4 out of 5 rating. The quality is good, they are extremely comfortable and fits beautifully. If you are looking for a mid-weight white denim with the right amount of stretch and definitely not transparent but soft then this is it. I did not find this out until after I arrived from my trip because it got delivered late. This resulted in an emergency search for a white denim at my local mall. I was lucky enough to find the third option at the last minute. It was the Guess sexy curve mid-rise jeans that ended up accompanying me on the trip. They really do hug your curves in the right places as mentioned. If you are looking for a white denim that embraces your curves and not really care that the fabric is not soft, this is it.
Out of the three white jeans, the J.Crew gave me the best feel. It fits fabulously. It is soft and feels lush. It is perfect in every way. For a relaxed and classy look on a Friday, I paired mine with a slim fit button down stripe shirt and a statement oxford. It is currently on sale for $40.

Thanks for visiting!

The Real Housewives of Orange County (don’t judge, LOL) convinced me that I needed a pair of white jeans. They showed me that I could dress them up or dress them down, either way, they were a fashion must have so I immediately bought a pair and immediately regretted my decision. They neglected to tell me that I needed a pair for “real” women not “real housewives” women (definition: women with personal chefs and trainers and at-home spray tanning booths and tv shows). I still love the look and want to thank you for all of the info, you look amazing and convinced me that I just needed the right pair and will be visiting jcrew.com immediately!
LOL @ The Real Housewives of Orange County comment. Not judging at all. The JCrew jeans fits really nicely. Let me know what you think. Thanks for the comment I really appreciate you dropping by.
Update . . . LOVE THEM!!! Thanks for the recommendation. Now if you have any tips for the *ahem* Quarantine 15 I won’t have to buy the next size up next time!
